You guys are a lifesaver to me, remembering things like titles I had forgot. I have another one for you, can't remember what this programme was called, but it was australian,Mark Lee, who starred in the film Galipoli, played the son with a dad who flew a sea plane, I think they used to solve crimes every week, but that's all I can remember, help anyone? Much obliged!

I did not recall this one, so did a quick Google on Mark Lee. I think the show you are after is "Bailey's Bird", which featured a sea plane called the "Pelican".

The series ran in the late 70s, and if you search under that title, you should be able to confirm if that is the show you remember.
