Puppet dinosaur?

Does anyone remember a live-action comedy type show... this man would walk around a stage type thing and tell jokes (crude ones maybe) and at one point, a dinosaur puppet that was black and has skeletons painted on him i think, would start telling jokes?? He also sang a theme song about his name maybe...

I think I've been going insane thinking about this one...
