Does anyone remember this BBC series that Shari Lewis did in about 1975? There are a number of articles on the net about the American shows, but hardly anything on the BBC version. I have fond memories of Lamb Chop and other puppets; there was a horse I think. The programme went out on a Saturday teatime as far as I recall.

I always thought there was something very strange about calling a "cute" puppet in a kid's TV show "Lamb Chop"
"Shari, why am I called Lamb Chop?"
"Well you see, when they're still very young, most lambs like you are taken off to the abbatoir in a truck, stunned, and then have their throat cut. Then when you're dead they go "Chop, chop, chop!" and turn you into lovely Sunday lunches for people like me."
"Wow! Will I make a lovely Sunday lunch some day Shari? Will I???"
"I'm sure you will Lamb Chop"
(All sing the abbatoir song)Still crazy after all these years.
