  • Poldark

I missed this in the 70's but watched the 2nd series when it was shown on 'Yesterday' a few months ago because Marc Harrison (Sky) was in it and got hooked. How brilliantly vile was Christopher Biggins!

First series is currently being rerun on Yesterday.

    Re: Poldark

I happened to catch the first episode again last night, my wife never saw it in the 70's either, so I was banging onto her how good it was etc. She enjoyed seeing 'Upstairs Downstairs' and 'The Onedin Line', both of which she never saw as a girl, so I'm pretty sure she'll be hooked on Polders

I thoroughly enjoyed both series of Poldark. The cast were terrific, but the star of the show was the scenery for me.

I enjoyed some similar scenery for real yesterday as I took the dogs out on the coast path after work, phew it was hot!;I didn't get home until gone nine, so missed Poldark episode II.

Ah, I be in Poldark Country too.
Not many miles from Warleggan (twinned with Narnia, the sign says.)
(Du Maurier, as well... Jamaica Inn.)

Too hot for walks these last two days, but I may get out on the cliffs tomorrow.

The role of Ross Poldark was originally offered to to timothy dalton ian mc'shane and leigh lawson before robin ellis got the role.

one of my favourite actors was in it.
