  • UK police comedy series late 90s

    hi everyone,
here in Australia in late 90s SBS screened a UK comedy series about a group of London bobbies. they were either in training or together at a station.
there were about 10 guys in all.

i think it was on film but without a laugh track. They were all pretty stupid and clueless particularly their sergeant. It was very funny deadpan comedy.

one the policemen was a short fat guy who i have seen a few times before (maybe a mike leigh play). another was in many children film foundation productions.

does anyone remember this or have any idea what it was called?

      great series that

I remember one episode with them on a training course out in the wilds, run by a Hitler-type & featuring the Ku Klux Klan
