hiya!
this is a bit vague-but it was an english programme that came out in the 70's
it was a little bit like 'the survivors'
there was a young girl as the main character-i remember her meeting up with a group of sikhs on the road and a lot of the emphasis was on electric pylons!
and thats about all i can remember
so sorry its a bit sketchy-if i can think of anymore details-i'll post them
