I have just remembered the first lines of the theme tune: '' Time and Tide wait for no man,The river flows to the sea,You've got to fight for what you think is right,Follow Me ( oh follow me ) Yeah Follow Me...Follow Me! ''.
If i recall,the last line of the song,with the words Follow Me!,ended very abruptly.
Does anybody know who sang the theme tune? As i have always been left with the impression that it was a singer with an incredibly powerful,gruff voice,similar to that of Joe Cocker.

I bought a DVD of the full series of Children of the Stones a couple of years ago. I think it was from Amazon but I couldn't swear to it. I remember Into Infinity as well but so far cannot arrange to buy a copy.

OK Guys...
You definately got that theme tune right! I've been watching the series again on a DVD I tracked down from the ITV archive office, Its been 30 years since I saw it and I never thought I would....scary!
The theme tune was performed by a 3-piece called 'First Reaction' I think they were a Bristol based band, but never made it big as far as I know - I cant find any info on them anywhere.

I have just got "children of the stones" on DVD
i haven't seen it since 1982!
By the way, It was filmed during that hot 1976 summer in UK.
