I have a hazy memory of there being a drama (possibly ITV) being transmitted late 80's (possibly early 90's). It was set in UK during the build-up to a coldwar confrontation, and following the effect on a number of different individuals. It wasn't Threads (!). Images I remember being the declaration of martial law/curfew with the British Army shooting some looters and one of the final scenes being some protagonists sat on a beach in deckchairs waiting for the "bomb" to drop. No actual war ensued on-screen but you were left wondering. Any help anyone?
