Hey all,
Does anyone remember a late 80s British TV production of a drama (mini-series?) which involves British colonial trade in SE Asia, warfare in SE Asia (Cambodia/Thailand?) and most of all, the love affair between a nurse (Asian-American looking?) and the heir of a wealthy British family. The heir was injured in the war but later reunited with the nurse in the hospital/rehab.
The story comes with such typical epic elements as huge family business, power struggle, betrayal and revenge, conflict of values between the East and West, colonial institution, forbidden love, hierarchy and all. Thanks!!
P.S I used to think the nurse was played by Vivian Wu but I was probably wrong. But she was kind of a look-alike.
