New series - seems very familiar

A new drama series set off last night - COLLISION

Its all about the people involved in a road traffic accident and the aftermath and its told in inter-related stories.

This has got my brain racing cos I know there was a series with a very very similar concept back in eighties or maybe the early nineties but I just can't remember what it was

This could be even further back , maybe even seventies cos am pretty sure I watched it every week while sitting with first mother-in-law ( Me and my first wife were staying in to save up for a mortgage)
Think was called Accident

I remembered the series too and found it on Action TV.

The series was called Accident and it was on in 1979.
I really enjoyed it at the time.
