90s kids show bbc

Hello all

Ive been thinking of this TV show for a while and none of my friends and family can remember it. I'm sure it was on bbc1 on a Sunday afternoon sometime in the 90s. It was about this little hairy guy that lived in the sand and use to grant kids a different wish every week. I'm sure the kids lived with an aunt but don't quote me on that as I'm finding it hard to remember.

Please help me out on this one as its driving me mad!!!

Yeah thats it thanks just went on to wikipidia to check it out. I loved that show when I was a kid
