Pop quiz show mid/late 70's

i vaguely remember a childrens pop quiz show on ITV. shown about 4pm in the mid/late 1970's.
Does anyone remember it?

It was much more glitzy and commerical than quiz shows like Michael Rodd's Screen test.
It showed film clips of the performers as part of the questions (early music videos). i remember one of Cat Stevens.
strangely one of the contestants names has stuck in my head. his name was Moz.

I am not sure if Mickey Most was the compere.

Oh wow! What a spooky coincidence! While I was reading your post I thought "What was that one with Moz called?" Moz was in my junior school. Ginger lad, great sense of humour. Still can't remember the name of the show. I'll be wracking my brains now until I remember it.

Thats incredible! yes his hair was this huge ginger mop. i only remember because my friend used to imitate him. I cant remember much else.
It was a very gaudy show, lots of glitter and coloured perspex

The show in question was Pop Quest, hosted by Kid Jensen

The guy was Moz Morris

Amazing to be made aware of this thread - thanks Sue! The show aired in 1976/77 and was made at Yorkshire TV. Ian Bolt was the producer and it was hosted by Kid Jensen AND Sally James of Tiswas fame!

I won my first heat then won the semi final which was a bit more of a nailbiter and then came third in the final. Being the oldest one I decided to enjoy some wine (aged 17!) in the canteen with our preshow meal and I think it slowed me down on the buzzer - lol - my excuse anyway!

i only vaguely remember the show even though i was 15 at the time.
Your unusually name always stuck in my head.
