Drama Series 1988 89 or 90

I watched a drama series about a young lad, who leaves Britain and goes to Australia, set in the late 1800s i think. He ends up owning most of the plantations around where he moved to and becomes very wealthy. I cannot remember who was in it, and what it was called, but I am sure there was a baby, called Dolly in it, weird what you can remember eh. I have searched and searched trying to find the name of this, now it was either in 1988, 89 or 90, but am lost after that, cant even remember if it was the BBC or ran it, or ITV or channel 4. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks

Just a punt, but I've been reading about Hugo Weaving recently, and he was in a '88 drama series called "Dirt-water Dynasty". Could that be it?
