Red worm on Nick Junior in the 90s

This is going to be very vague but it is driving me crazy!! My younger brother used to watch a programme on Nick Junior in the late 90s (around/ after 1997) and it was about a little red worm - i do not remember very much about the programme except for one particular episode where the work falls through the sky and lands in a strawberry cheesecake that is on a plate on a table in a outdoor cafe (at this point french/ italian music started to play).

This is very vague i know and i have searched through the former programming of Nick Jr on Wikipedia and cannot find any titles that sound familiar... i'm sure the title was one word and a very short word - the name of the worm perhaps.

Any ideas??

Not Earthworm Jim is it, it was on Nickleodeon but not sure if it was on Nick Jr?

Nah... it was a plastcine type cartoon. I have the words plop.... pop... pup.... etc in my head as the title.... it's driving me mad! x
