I will be very impressed if anyone gets this!

A drama shown on children's tv I think in the 70s. There was a family, upper class types, the father was very strict, i dont remember there being a mother, and there was about 5 kids, all teenage years or there abouts.
The father used to shout at the children. I remember one daughter becoming ill.

Think it was probably in about 6 episodes. Any ideas?

Sounds a bit like 'Seven little Australians', though you don't mention it being Australian (or a period drama)!

oh wow!! That is it!! I just looked that title up on imdb and thats it! I didnt know it was Australian, i was about 10 when i saw it. But I do remember there being a Helen in it as i have a sister called Helen and can remember imitating the father shouting at her.

Lol!! Helen - that's the very reason I remember this programme - my name; and I think there was a Nell aswell, which I obviously use too!
Quite sad this programme if I'm recalling it correctly
