  • Another one I need help with...

More vague memories. An old tall, skinny man with gray hair...might have been a bad guy? Mr Trip or Trimm? Also had young teenagers in it. Something to do with saying "ticky tock it's into the box" and possibly a black and white swirly patterned box involved. English programme, from what I remember probably made late 70's? Absolutely no idea what it was about or when it was on. Any ideas?

When you say 'English programme', do you mean you think it was made in England or do you mean 'English' as in 'schools programme'? It certainly sounds like it may be for schools. If so, this website is a gold mine, and you may find it listed.

Hooray! Thanks guys. That's it! It seems I hybridised two programmes in my head. Turns out Mr Trim was in the Look and Read story 'Sky Hunter' from 1978

Remember 'em both. There's a family of Peregrine falcons living on the CIS tower in Manchester City centre (if anybody from Manchester wants to see them, the RSPB've got some volunteers recruiting for members and a few telescopes set up on The Triangle, former corn exchange, on Corporation Street opposite the Arndale centre). You might get luuck and see one of them.
