late 1970's - 80's adoption drama

I remember this show, on BBC I guess, about a young girl adopted/fostered into a well meaning middle class family. She used to come home and say Hi Hi, or maybe hello hello! I think there were about 4 episodes of it. It might of had the theme tune 'Inside Out' by Phil Collins. Or was that another show?
got any ideas? Cos it's doing my head in a bit...

It was called "Clare" and she said "hello hello". I've been asking about it aswell. I think it was about the same era as Jonny Jarvis.
