In the original series George woodbridge played Mr Inigo Pipkins a puppet maker. My memory is when he made Topov the monkey, a string puppet that came to life. This scared the hell out of me for years( he was a very creepy puppet), does anyone else remember this or is it the dreaded false memory syndrome!

Re: Pipkins - early episodes
I remember those early episodes quite well. Topov was so named because he liked sitting on 'top of' thing. What a random fact to stick in my memory! And there was the pig who would say, "I'm Pig, I eat anything', in a very strong midlands accent. Jackie Lee sung the catchy theme - the same artist who sung White Horses and Rupert the Bear.

Re: Pipkins - early episodes
Did a big deep voice come on during the show saying 'It's TIME for ....a story/song etc' and a clock chimes? I remember it was a favourite show of mine but I'm not sure if the 'it's time' bit was on it or something else. I remember Hartley hare, saw him making an appearance on something a couple of years ago, the voice was the same. Whoever does it must be a fair age by now.

Re: Pipkins - early episodes
I remember in Pipkins there was a bird called Octavia and yes, the monkey, Topov was scary, a bit thread bare and scruffy looking as I recall. The people of Oman don't like the Flintstones but the people of Abu Dhabi do!
