    London born Julie is best known for the release of the hit single "Don't Cry for me Argentina" from the musical "Evita", her definitive version reached the top of the UK singles chart in 1976. One year later, she released a version of Alice Coopers "Only Women Bleed" which reached number 12 in the UK charts. Julie was not only known for his music ability but is well known for her acting. She has appeared in many television series and numerous theatrical performances. Many remember her for her role as Dee in the hit series 'Rock Follies during the 1970's, also starring Rula Lenska. She sang and acted on Jeff Wayne's "War of the Worlds" and appreared on the big screen in "Ascendancy" in 1983.

    I'll always most associate her with the single, 'Only Women Bleed'. My Mum adored the song and played it a lot at the time. I got to like it too.

      Theres a name from the past - I loved that recording of Evita - must try and get hold of it.

        My Dad is still really surprised that she turned down the chance to appear at the West End in the full musical of Evita, after doing so well with the album.
