    Wondering if anyone else remembers these books written by the same author as Mr Men? They were similar but with animals. : )http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timbuctoo

    I had a few when I was young.

    The characters were stylised animals named after they sound the would make.

    Thanks for the link. As a big fan of Roger Hargreaves and the Mr Men books, the Timbuctoo range is completely new to me! I will have to investigate.

    I remember the odd book, there was a crocodile called snap that would snap his fingers and a glass of lemonade would appear,
