Picture Box?

Does anyone remember a kids TV programme called, I think 'Picture Box' it was around in the mid 70's, I'm trying to remember the name of the bloke who presented it. It started with a rotating jewelled box and some strange music. Bit of a difficult one I reckon here!!

Hi I can remember it, I think the guys name was Brian Cant. He was really tall and was going bald on top (no offence).

I think Brian Cant may have taken over from him later on, I watched it early 80's, but i may be wrong.

The rotating box was the start of Camberwick Green IIRC, followed by the words..
"Here is a box,a musical box"

Think tv shows were more surreal in the olden days of tv, or were the makers under the influence, talking cushions an dmops, whatever next?

Was gobsmacked donkeys' years later when Alan from Picture box turned up as a heroin junkie in Brookside - married to Heather Huntingdon/Haversham.
