    I've not read it but it's a book that has managed to stay relevant. Apparently it was written as a critique of an older book where almost the opposite happens.

    Lord of the flies by william golding is one book that stayed with me from my childhood, it really sparked my imagination the idea of living unsupervised by adults on a desert island
