    Re: Shoot

I used to pick up piles of Shoot! from jumble sales. I used to love those poster pages that had all the players' facts on...like his favourite actor, pre-match meal, car, likes and dislikes, etc.

I also got Match Weekly, and Scoop, which featured various sports, plus story strips.

      Re: Shoot

My brother still has the 1984 Shoot Annual somewhere.

He normally had Match delivered weekly, & had some of the annuals as well.

I can remember him having a league ladder at one time.

        Re: Shoot

Had quite a few issues of Shoot magazine and yes, reading this thread reminded me just how much of a pain those league ladders were. I can remember starting one ladder with good intentions but then giving up after around two weeks. They were such fiddly things and it was just too much effort for me it would seem. I collected Shoot during the mid 90's but can remember Match was more popular amongst most of the other kids.

You're thinking of Scoop, launched January 1978. Scoop immediately felt dated compared to Shoot!
