Hello,
You've all helped me before, and I hope I've done my bit.
A cousin has asked me about a book, read in school in the early 1980s, where all the colour has been stolen from a world. The main character wakes to a black and white world and sets off to find the colour. It's been locked in a castle by a baddie of some sort, but the goodie wins the day and restores colour to the world.
She remembers this as aimed at 5-8 year-olds maybe, so mostly illustrated. In a style similar to the start of Watership Down, in her mind....
Any clues? She feels it was read by the whole class, so someone out there could have a shared experience.
Thanks for thinking, you guys.
