  • Necklace made from Enamel Powder on Copper Discs?

I remember making these with my cousin (who had everything she wanted !) It was a copper disc either round or oval or peardrop shaped onto which you had different coloured enamel powders that you sprinkled onto - next, the disc was put into a tiny Kiln that you plugged into your domestic mains supply.

Then after 15 minutes you removed it and all the powder melted and made a most beautiful pendant that you either threaded onto a leather thong or, like I did, put on a velvet ribbon - this is from 1974!

Does anyone out there remember making these? I have one and would have sent a picture but cant find it as yet?

I would love to see more examples of this craft?

You can still buy these kits bit expensive though.

There is one "toy" kit on ebay but its a German Version.

      Today's version http://www.jewel-toolcraft.co.uk/ (scroll down a bit)
