M & S cake....

Anyone remember Marks & Spencer used to sell a fresh cream cake that was shaped like a Viennetta? They either sold a chocolate cake that had chocolate icing on the top in swirls and on the sides were fresh chocolate cream and chocolate hundreds and thousands; they also did a vanilla sponge flavoured version too. It was sold from the 1980s to the early 1990's. Loved it at tea time. Came in a card box with a cellophane window....

I think I remember this. My family have shopped at M&S for years and my Mum bought cakes from there every weekend. The cake you're describing rings a bell. Especially the chocolate one!

Vaguely remember as I have always bought cakes from M&S and now remember they used to sell alot of fresh cream cakes - this is making me hungry now.
