Originally called Brains faggots, name change was for marketing purposes as people thought they were made from sheeps brains, so the M.R was conceived to alay these fears and hopefully increase sales, still fairly popular, sometimes buy a pack of 6 cheaper than a box of 4 at Sainburys.
Basically meatballs in sauce.

There was a brand of washing up liquid called Gay just before Fairy Liquid was introduced - not surprisingly it didn't last very long with that name before the double meaning was uncovered.

I was watching an old Maths schools programme on YT where a Fairy liquid bottle was shown, and of course the word Fairy was covered up - I don't think it was because some people might find the word "Fairy" offensive of course...

Try your local Butchers. Our local butcher does 8 for £4 and they are awesome! They make Mr. Brains taste like offal and they're huge.

Are faggots and offal more or less the same thing? I don't like either of them so they must have simularities.
