Meri Mates
Remember Meri Mate drinks - before they bottled them? At first they were usually, cola or lemonade or orange, and they were bought in large plastic sealed tubes that you peeled the plastic sticky label off where the holes were for to insert your straw. Lokked a bit like the holes on a 'Vim' tin. (remember 'Vim?) anyway, there was a factory up here in Dundee that made Meri Mates. We used to open them gby scraping the corner against a wall or biting a little hole - so you could squirt it at each other at school.
