Texans were never my favourite, although I DID enjoy them. When I was young, I preferred bars that were softer and Texans were hard until you got them going in your mouth.
Cabana bars were AWESOME! I still remember the theme-tune for the adverts. Also remember the adverts for Bounty bars? How come we never see THOSE anymore? They are still on sale, but you never see them ADVERTISED anymore.
My favourite bar-ad when I was young was for Trios. It was to the music of the song, "DAY-OH!" but they replaced it with "TRIO!" There was a cartoon girl who was causing havoc.
Oh and Bandit bars. "My Conchita had LEFT me. I can't STAND it." "You can't STAND it with Bandit, get your chin off the floor. New bigger bar Bandit is as big as a door. Try bigger bar Bandit it's a light-hearted bite, eat new bigger bar Bandit and you'll beeee alriiiiight." "My Conchita has come BACK! I can't STAND it." !You can't STAND it with Bandit...."
I used to absolutely LOVE
Maltesers but since they changed the chocolate/ flavour of chocolate I can’t abide them now

Here, here...well said that man! , not just maltesers either, when it comes to chocolate they have ruined just about everything, literally nothing tastes as good as it did, also the texture and the size. Everything has to taste smooooth and creamy and have roundness, bring back chunky, blocky proper chocolate that you had to bite and chew instead of just waiting three seconds while it melts on your tongue in a sickly milky pool ....Blurrrgh!

I am intrigued by the Cadbury's Special Branch packaging - was this something which was tied in with the early 1970s police series?
I can understand why the BBC didn't want the association between Top Cat, the cartoon and the cat food.
I've everything I need to keep me satisfied
There's nothing you can do to make me change my mind
I'm having so much fun
My lucky number's one
Ah! Oh! Ah! Oh!
Was Cadbury's Special Branch some sort of club where people could join? Looks like it.
