Wow! I can see it's from Battle 1975, didn't think comics like that had much in the way of advertising. Warlord didn't
Was it a 'policy' of sorts by D.C.Thomson I wonder...IIRC most (all?) of their comics had little or no product adverts as such (Beano,Dandy, Beezer, Topper, Victor , Warlord et al)
Yet Battle's publisher, IPC - who had the bulk of the 'younger/funnier' comics - seemed to have ads in most of their stuff (Whizzer & Chips, Cor!, Krazy, Shiver & Shake -my first comic - 2000AD etc etc)
I've just finished scanning all my Battles from 1st issue 8th March '75, to June '82 (when I left comp & girls began to 'dominate' my life ).....being an Airfix collector they're also FULL of Airfix ads & competitions.....
....I'm now trying to add the June 82 onwards to see the end of stories I'd read (for years in some cases!)...oh & to get hold of the issue that answers that flamin' Rowntree Fruit Gum posters competition
