70's drink

Hello a friend and myself are desperately trying to remember the name of a drink we used to drink in the 70's that came in a container and you pulled off the top and stuck a straw that was already with it into the drink - came in a long container - we both born in the 65 so im a bit fuzzy on it - anyone any ideas ?????

Was it a fizzy drink? I remember in the mid-70s, drinks that came in long, tube-like containers - you had to pull away a sticky tab to get the straw in, but I can't remember if the straw came with it. I think they were called Meri-Mate or something similar. They didn't seem to be around long.
