I loved Sandwich Spread and Toast Toppers. YUM!!
That reminds me, I also loved Heinz Vegetable Salad in a tin. A Sunday teatime stalwart in my house.

I like toast toppers. My dad still buys them, and i nab them as quick as i can, especially the ham and mushroom. My dad basically buys all the tinned junk that we bought in the 70's,especially bacon grill, although he substitutes it with tinned spam these days.Potted beef etc are other things our fridge is full of at times.

Haha I'm one of the culprits keeping Toast Toppers in business. They are ridiculously overpriced though. I have the mushroomy one about once a month, on toast with lots of pepper. Takes me back to summer caravan holidays, when we'd have it for supper.

I like Heinz sandwich spread too, and have it on ham sandwiches. I also used to love Heinz tinned potato salad, though not the vegetable one. Hmmm I wonder if they still sell it? These were all viewed by us as treats, along the lines of primula cheese in a tube, lol.

I loved the mushroom Toast Topper. I later discovered that creamed mushrooms in a tin tasted even better and looked less like vomit.

I have a jar of toast topper - I call it strawberry jam!

On the subject, I remember trying both Toast Toppers and Sandwich Spread in the '80s. I didn't really like either.

I loved Toast Toppers when I was a kid. I'm a vegetarian now and they don't seem to cater for me. Everytime I walk round the supermarket, I always check the display of T-T just incase they've brought one out without meat in it.

I have no idea who buys it, it's foul
to be honest ive never tried it.
i walk past it all the time when im shopping and mean to try it.

somehow a topping for toast in a small container does. not seem right.

Me too. Don't suppose they'll be bringing veggie Bacon Grill out any time soon either. I used to love that.

Couldn't Stand (and still can't) sandwich spread.

But I did like on of the toast toppers and predictively it's the one you can't get now, Curry Flavour.

Heinz did what i think were called sandwich makers in the late 70's. Were in a small can with a ring-pull. Were liver and bacon, roast chicken, chicken and stuffing, and possibly a few other ones.
