i loved the cucumber sandwich spread .............wasn't as keen on the normal sandwich spread...........we would have toast toppers at the weekend for lunch...........about a year ago I had one, cant remember what the flavour was but the recipe still tasted the same and I actually quite enjoyed it........another fav of mine as a child was shiphams sardine and tomato paste..........think my cat would like that one too.

Heinz Sandwich spread

This was a staple part of my diet during the early/mid 80's and I found a jar of it in Sainsburys the other day.

Just polished off two sandwiches for my lunch.....and wow! exactly the same as it was back then. I may even have another sandwich, it was that good.

Oh yes a staple ingredient in my school lunch was that and princes pastes aswell whihc were and still are vile !
