  • Raspberry Ruffle

Hi everyone. Had a Raspberry Ruffle yesterday and I was really disappointed. The centre is totally different from how it used to be. It was hard with no traces of the coconut bits that used to be in there. Why do they mess about with things. After all if it aint broke don't try and fix it! Has anyone else noticed this in a Ruffle or have I had a freak bar?
    Heaven knows I'm miserable now.

they are not the same as they used to be. i got totally over excited when i saw a multipack in tesco last year.... was most unimpressed. why mess with a decent recipe?

hey angie what is different about them.
last time i had one was around a year ago and it looked and tasted the same as ever.
but it annoys me they are always changing sweets.
either the name or what it tastes like.

the coconutty raspberry bit in the middle is hard, grainy and almost chewy, with very little coconut :-(
and the thick dark chocolatey goodness is long gone, replaced by a miserly coverage that barely covers the bar... grumpy now just thinking about it.

As I said in my post 'if it aint broke don't fix it'. They have ruined a really nice chocolate bar imo. Its almost like cheap coconut(LESS) ice now. Hard and grainy with no taste.

You need to get your hands on a Cherry Ripe bar, though you can only get them in Australia . They're not the same shape or texture as a raspberry ruffle, but the taste is sublime and not far off the RR. Why don't they sell them here???

Cherry Ripes were one of the highlights of my Oz travels - WHY don't we have them here

You can usually buy Cherry Ripe online from places like Cybercandy.co.uk.

Expensive but I agree with you, they're very nice!!!
