What Did You Really Want off Santa?

We sat there and pored over the toy pages in the catalogues, drooled over the tv adverts and got surgically attached to the toy shop window. We wrote lists for Santa filled with our wildest dreams......but when Xmas morning came did we get what we wanted...........?
What was your worst Xmas disappointment?

Santy always gave me more or less what I'd ask for - there was one year when I didn't really specify beforehand & got a stocking made up of loads of small things, all of which were lost or broken by New Years' Day ! That I suppose was my most dissapointing Xmas , presentwise.

I desperately wanted Action Girl when I was about 4 - I had an Action Man, but he was always being involved in horrifying "accidents", so when I went for the annual visit to Father Christmas's grotto, he told me I had to play nicely with my Action Man or I wouldn't get an Action Girl (evidently my Mum tipped him off ahead of time). All went well until in the middle of a game, I hurled Action Man down the stairs, and then became hysterical, convinced that Father Christmas had seen, and wouldn't bring me anything. My Mum must have been a bit stunned by my tears and screams, and reassured me that Father Christmas was very busy, and probably hadn't noticed. Anyway, when Christmas came, I got my Action Girl so I guess Mum was right ;-)

Lol norty boy Orange, but fair play too you, I always wanted A Dalek but never got one, and a Chopper bike, but alas never had that either, had a racer, racing bike instead, and before that a tricycle, which was good for wheelies.

I once asked for a Rolf Harris Stylophone. and a yellow hairdryer made by Krupps that turned to make a different shape! also i wanted everything else that was made my K-tel!!

Cool, but what "shape" did they turn into?

I use to have one where the handle folded away, trouble was it use to flip shut whilst using it

I can't see that either could turn into another shape. I only recall the foldy handle ones too, or the one we had..huge and shaped like a spaceship, with a pipe and hat that attached
