Belle Vue

Does anyone from the northwest have any memories of Belle Vue especially the zoo and fair. i often reminisce with friends about the place but i seem to be the only one who remembers the small brick building near the kiosk wear they used to show cartoons did this really exist or am i going mad.

Hey, I definetly remember going there myself during the 70s and can remember the big dinosaur park and the big crocodile

I remember going to the Granadabowl for a friend's 10th birthday.

My Dad took me when i was about 5 or 6. I went on the scenic railway which closed when I was 7 (1975) and that is the only memory I have. I was terrified because it was hurtling down the track heading for the main road and I thought it was gonna go off the end. Scenic railway was a very loose term though. It was more like a rollercoaster. Somebody was killed on it's first day running.
