    This thread has been dormant for a long time, but I just had to say that 'Pippa Dee' brought back so many memories. My mom went to them, as well as Tuppaware parties. My next-door neighbour had a make-up party in the mid-80s to which my mom went. I remember it particularly as her husband sought refuge at our house from all the giggling ladies trying on make-up etc.

    As for Eerie, Indiana...great series and very off-beat and creative.

      I remember fondue in the 70's - Every party had to have one

      Do you really believe the other side without provocation would launch so many ICBM's, subs and ships knowing that we would have no option to launch as well? It would break our MAD Treaty (Mutually Assured Destruction) not to mention the end of the world as we know it.

        The Mum of one of my friends at school used to be a catalogue agent & occasionally had parties so show off what they were selling.
