ONE THING I FIND ABOUT HALLOWEEN IS THRU THE YEAR YOUR KIDS ARE TOLD NEVER TALK TO STRANGERS.
YET ON HALLOWEEN YOU KNOCK DOORS AND TALK TO STRANGERS.

Plus we teach them not to accept sweets off strangers then go around to strangers houses demanding sweets !!!



We had a tray of chocolates and sweets and a few apples .
One kid said " they aren't sweets !! "

We haven't had any trick-or-treaters for at least ten years. I'm not complaining as I really am not keen at all on the practice.

Trouble is nowadays children can't run away being chubby from Happy Meals and so much time on the internet & video games

When we were young we went fishing, climbed tree's, walking through the woods.............

What with Elf & Safety legislation the kids are not allowed to do all that in case they hurt themselves; not to mention the paedo's. Maybe that is where the scary Bogey Men came from

Our friends went out last night trick or treating and noticed a sign in one window that said -

" run away children , whilst you still can ! "
