Front or back gardens with a huge bald patch in the middle, where we had been playing football.

Bloody iriot. I meant COAL bunker. A big old lump of concrete in the back garden. Can smell that coal now.

Yes we had one too coal one side wood opposite side

I'm gonna go back to our old house in Didcot, wonder if that old coal bunker is still there.

Pity Google earth doesn't show back gardens.....

You can see back gardens on the overhead views, though not in great detail.

My uncle still has his front and back garden.

my parents never had any garden.
But many great times spent at my uncles playing footie, cricket occasionally cutting the lawn with one of them now petrol mowers.

Front were more likely to have been dug up to make a driveway for a car

My parents still have their front and back gardens, the front one was shared with next-door and had a pampas grass in the middle. It was where we left our bikes when mates came to ours.
