Re: What We Did In Bed!

I was laid in bed last night and suddenly I remembered that I used to do the weirdest thing in bed. For some unknown reason I used to peel the wallpaper off. Don't ask why, I have no idea. I used to get some right tellings off over it.

I used to do that as well when my bedroom was been redecorated and I was forced to relocate to the scary as hell attic bedroom. I am certain that house made me believe in ghosts, whether they exist or not.

I had polystyrene under my wallpaper. Used to love laying in bed and digging a fingernail into it.

I have fond memories of those little red projectors too Kaz and I remember playing under the sheets with a torch with these on the end.

Pocket Simon or hand held Space Invaders under the covers at lights out. Sound off of course.

I do remember one thing from bed. Squashing little mites that used to crawl around on my bedside cabinet. I called them silverfish at the time but they weren't silverfish. They were much smaller and white. Feels yucky now to think there were mites on my bedroom furnature but as at the time it didn't bother me at all. I remember them on the fireplace too. Never did me any harm, but I've never seen them anywhere since.

I know what you mean. We had a floor to ceiling cupboard next to the fireplace in our old house and the bottom was full of the things. In our present house we have larder beetles that live in the chimney breast and at certain times of the year we'll find 3 or 4 wandering around the house.

With out sounding too David Attenborough, I'd quite like to know exactly what my little white mites were. Also those tiny little red spiders that were always on concrete. They were all over the school yard and on the garden wall and windowsills at home in summer. We used to squash them, but last summer when I had a good close look at our front path and wall I couldn't see any.
