Re: One thing I dont miss
Hard drives that ran out of space. I can remember when they were only 200MB.
Dial up internet with time metered telephone calls.
Windows 95 and 98. Always crashed.
It's a bit before my time. When shops couldn't sell most things on a Sunday.

Yes by renovating how many have knocked a wall down to have a full bathroom suiteOriginally posted by Richard1978 View PostThere seemed to be a thing in older houses of having the toilet separate from the bathroom, this was true at my Aunt & Uncle's house until a few years ago.

Reason for this, was it was believed to be a health risk. Outside toilets was for the same reason. The downside was, somebody with a heavy cold etc, walking to the bottom of the garden during a midwinter storm. Hence the old bucket under the stairs.Originally posted by Richard1978 View PostThere seemed to be a thing in older houses of having the toilet separate from the bathroom, this was true at my Aunt & Uncle's house until a few years ago.Who cared about rules when you were young?

Growing up in the 1970's, only three TV channels. Come Saturday, BBC1, Grandstand all afternoon. ITV, World of Sport all afternoon. BBC2, a boring old film that creaked with age.Who cared about rules when you were young?
