Stamps used to be very popular in the US and most supermarkets offered them during the 1970s and 80s.

I remember being confused by mentions of Green Stamps in American TV & Films.

For years benefits payments were partually paid in the form of food stamps in the USA.

Just seen one in action on the ITV news!
they were talking about the Tesco Clubcard fiasco and showed a section on Green shield stamps
