Programme
Seamus McKee presents a St Patrick's programme from the old Downpatrick jail, now the county museum. Tradition tells that the snake-banishing saint is buried in the Co Down town, now a much-praised conservation area. The arts flourish here, alongside a strong sense of history, with 18th-century Irish rebels, the 19th-century famine and 20th-century music and drama intertwined. Raising a glass along with traditional band Keep 'Er Lit are harpists, singers and storytellers, all celebrating St Patrick in his heartland.
