Does anyone remember Timothy Whites? It was like a small electrical shop but sold lots of different stuff too. I particularly remember going there to buy Thermos Flasks!! (What strange memories I have!)

My lasting memory of Timothy Whites is being asked to choose a Dinky/Corgi car as a gift from a visiting aunt and uncle. I was torn between two - the Green Hornet's Black Beauty with firing missiles and bits that stuck out of the sides and a far more ordinary red American car with little aerials that came up out of the boot. For some strange reason known only to my daft child self I went with the latter, regretting it ever since.Comment
