Only two nights ago I used my popapoint pencil from the 1970's. I have several of them, they're all just pencils, no coloured ones and they even still have the white plastic lids/caps. I also have a rubber that is like a square chunky pencil with lego type blocks in different colours. The white rubber inside is whole but in theory as it's worn down you pull off the bottom block and put it on the top of the rubber.

Re: Pop-a-point
Thanks for your comments and many thanks to sixtyten for kindly uploading the pic for me.
I had more of the pale blue ones (the very first ones I had) until my daughter spied me using one the other evening, she liked that colour best and has now 'scavenged' them as she calls it. Never to be seen again no doubt!! Another thing lost from the good old 70s!!!!

Re: Pop-a-point
Pop-a-point pencils are a wondeful memory. I can't recall the colour of the ones I had, but I do remember thinking they were really neat. And that picture of the eraser with the coloured blocks, Low Country. Thanks for that. One of those items I'd forgotten about for at least thirty years!
