Eating strong tasting sweets & having a rush of saliva in your mouth. A real "what's happening?" moment.

Having bottles & cans of soft drinks spray when you open them.

Getting sprayed from running taps open too far.

Getting "starch stomach" from eating bread or chips too fast, & being in total agony until you have a drink.

Finding melted sweets or chocolate in your pocket.

Having really bad pins & needles after long car trips.

I used to gleek all the time as a kid. I don't think I do it once a year as an adult.

Getting swimming pool water up your nose & feeling the sting of chlorine all the way into your temples.

Ripping a bag of crisps or sweets totally open & having them fall all over the ground.

Getting a rash from itchy new trousers (normally part of a school uniform).

Having new shoes causing blisters.

Being accused of telling lies when mentioning anything unusual that had happened to you.

Being unable to supress escaping gas from above or below.

Gleek is the name of the bodily function where the gland under your tongue squirts saliva. I'm referring to when you open your mouth as a kid and accidently squirt from under your tongue. It used to happen all the time as a kid, I never ever get it now, ever. It usually used to happen while talking after something tasty to eat, Opal Fruits never failed to make me do it.

everytime it used to get a few days from the christmas holidays, i'd start with a bad cold and my christmas would be lousy.

Well for a few years in my younger childhood, I used to get a horrible rash all over my face every Christmas Eve.
My mum said it was over-excitement.
I spent Christmas Day covered in calamine lotion!
