Re: moon landing wallpaper
Tricky. I remember Thunderbirds wallpaper, and others.
I would love to find a piece of Rowland Emett wallpaper, but I've only ever seen one sample.
I wondered if attaching the word "vintage" to the search would help, but it quickly led to these early 70's horrors...

I think we had the one on the left..."It's never too late to have a happy childhood."

It was great. It had illustrations of the moonscape, pod, flags, astronauts working on the moon. If I remember correctly, it had 4 or 5 different illustrations and they repeated over in a random pattern. It used a lot of red, whites and blues. The illustrations weren't "kiddie" or anything like that, but fairly accurate 3-color renderings of the different moonlanding events.
My fav part of my childhood is thinking of all the great times I had in that room while I was reading and hanging out with my friends. I haven't had any luck finding anything about it and your's is the first post to make me finally realize that I didn't make it up!
I have tried looking under vintage, children's wallpaper 70's, moonlanding wallpaper, etc. But yeah, it's unfortunate that wallpaper means desktop wallpaper as well as room wallpaper.
I would love to find that wallpaper again. Anyone else remember?

I also have been searching all over for at least a pic of it so I can share with my son. I wish I would have been smart enough to steal a scrape of it before I moved out and became a grown-up!

Re: moon landing wallpaper
I thought I was mad (searching for beloved wallpaper of my childhood) but clearly I'm not alone. I too had this wonderful wallpaper. As I recall it was NASA related and had a moon buggy as one of the illustrations, I also remember the American flag quite distinctly. As I've officially reached middle age (40) my boyhood nostalgia has has grown even bigger.
I will continue the pursuit to find it.
I also had some fabulous cowboy wallpaper but that's another story.

Re: moon landing wallpaper
I'm just watching a TV program about a social experiment where they put 80 year old celebrities into a 70s house that replicates the decor and furniture they had in that era.
It put me in mind of my wallpaper in my bedroom - so I googled it and found you lot. I've never found anyone else who remembers it. Add me to the list of people looking for an image!
