          Re: Old Logos

          Thread Bump!

I see that the Co-operative Society is going back to using the Co-op branding, complete with the blue & white cloverleaf logo they used from the late 1960s to the early 1990s.

I first noticed when I saw someone with a carrier bag with the old logo on, then saw something online.

Speaking of the return of the old Co-op logo, remember this logo? It didn't last long

I think that was only used by certain societies, I can't remember any my way using it.

                Re: Old Logos

The original BT logos from the 1980s can still be found on some manhole covers. There are even older manhole covers with Post Office Telephones if you look in the right places.

I think the original BT logo and the yellow vans were more distinctive than the 'piper' logo and the grey vans I grew up with until they were replaced with the 'connected world' logo in 2003.

I recently saw a 1980s phone box with the yellow panel on the back, which somehow hadn't been updated, though the other panels had be replaced.

                    Re: Old Logos

A few years ago I encountered an Eden Vale yogurts trailer parked behind the back of Dewsbury Markaz, and a Mr Kipling cakes trailer with the 'briefcase' logo in a graveyard for old lorries. The Eden Vale trailer might still be there but the Mr Kipling trailer has gone.

                      Re: Old Logos

There used to be a foam rubber factory near to be with a number of old trailers parked in the yard.

On was an old Argos trailer with the logo roughly painted out but you could tell what it was.

This area has been redeveloped so they are long gone.

Found these years ago in a book I found in the charity shop I work in. Can't remember the book though. Thought I'd share them with you.

Thanks for those, I like graphic design, especially when there are some details.
