What you did in the 70,s and 80s but you dont do now
Checking out books and records from the library. (Nowadays I prefer to buy them)
Settling in on a Friday nite with a TV dinner and Dukes of Hazzard and Dallas on the tube.
Re: What you did in the 70,s and 80s but you dont do now
I think that there is a fair bit, I don't do now compared to the 1970s/1980s, going to different places on Buses and Trains when you could go to far far more differing places than these day's and quicker too without the bus going miles and miles and takingan hour or so or going at times/returning at times that is not the time you want to return or go, is one thing I don't do but still a bit, watching Saturday Morning TV - right until Grandstand at Lunchtime - when there'd be a special part of it allocated to the Football.
As well too, watching Sunday Morning TV with all the Music type thing's that was on is another, as well as other thing's like watching different TV programmes too (though I still watch some) as well as say not going to different shop's as some are no longer going as they have closed or the choice in them may just not be the same/similar- if they are still there.

Wearing orange corduroy dungarees with a blue jumper and Clark's Commandos.
Build a Tamiya monster truck kit.
Not being allowed to sit in the front seat of the family car.
Being at school from 9am to 3.30pm and thinking the day would never end.
Weekends were longer and there was always a friend to play with.
Shoving washers into those bubble gum machines outside the newsagents and getting handfuls of free gum!
Riding a pushbike through a 5' deep outdoor swimming pool.
Saturday teatime eating fish and chips and watching wrestling then A-team/Knight Rider/Superboy on the tele
Begging to plug the Sega into the only TV in the house when Dads was watching something.
Putting spray polish on the slide in the park.
Tying the swings up in knots
The feeling of dread on that horrid, dead day before you go back to school after the long summer holiday.
Shopping for shoes and having your growing feet measured by that sliding ruler thingy.
Actually being afraid of teachers.
Actually being able to remember the phone numbers of your friends and family.
My folks had a load of bricks delivered to our house when I was about 8 and the lorry driver let my mate and I go up and down on the tail lift! That would never happen now thanks to the H&S police.
Being scared of stupid things such as odd shapes, noises, patterns etc.
"So this is 'The Daddy' - the 'ardcase. Carlin, is it? Don't look much to me, Carlin...you're the little toerag who thumped the officer at Rowley...fancy yerself do ya, Carlin? Thumpin' officers, eh?"

Fall off said tarzan swing into the creek/ stream
