OMG !!! Vim ! My mate and I used to hang out at her house in the school holidays as her mum went to work and we could have the place to ourselves (except for her younger brother Robert bobbing in and out - pesky kids !)
We had a fab time and we used to dress up in long frocks and play 'pretend' all day - we used to make 'cocktails' from their Corona pop, very often using the whole weeks supply in one day.

Well, this particular day - Corona all gone and nothing else doing, we decided to clean up for her mum...... out came the Vim and we gave the kitchen a thorough cleaning and sat back for the praise her mum would heap on us when she came home ......No-one ever told us it should be rinsed or it would dry white and be the very devil to get off ! I never got down home so fast

i remember the three wishes soap we also used lux sometimes pears soap, and my mum would always wash our hair in vosene shampoo, it had a really strong smell ,like dettol . When she ran out of it , she would send us up the shop for a sachet of sunsilk shampoo.
I remember my mum putting her hair in curlers and getting out the setting lotion in a blue bottle. We also had omo washing powder , flash floor cleaner and remember vim !
